In case u missed it, this is a "review" of k-k 07 ...by someone who didn't attend it...
from the founder of kornspace.com...
“KK was Korn Fan meet up this year. Its where people from everywhere that like KoRn can get together and interact......hmmmmm that sounds familiar. Oh! thats right its called a CONCERT. It basically was a KoRn show without the most imprtant thing about it........KoRn. All it really was is a chance to advertise a clothing line and a band off Munkys label Droid. Oh and to make the person who started it feel really important. If those KoRn fans wanted to meet so bad they could have just met somewhere like um a KoRn show in California. The only thing having to do with KoRn at KK were the fans. Its truely pointless and tricks a KoRn fan into thinking thier not a KoRn fan if they do not go.
It reads on the site "If you missed this first year, you missed out, but there will be no excuses for missing Konnekt 2008!!" What exactly did they miss out on? Crappy bands and a chance to meet KoRn fans from online. Because your not allowed to meet with someone unless KK allows you to. Dont miss 2008! More clothes to sell and bands to pimp that have nothing to do with KoRn!!!!!!!
Now youll either agree with me that its truely pointless and they can just meet at a KoRn show, or think "well i didnt have to pay anything (which you did) and i got to meet my friends so KHRIS is being an a hole", or you dont give a flying f**k. For those of you that are thinking the second one i have a question for you. Do you really want to meet everyone at that thing? Your answer if your honest is NO. You want to meet the "popular" KoRn fans lol or just friends you talk to online. But thats only a few. The truth is its this small circle of KoRn fans that wanted to meet and the rest of the people are just tag alongs. Ya its cool your here man but if your name is not shellz get out of my way. I dont need that kind of sh*t shoved down my throat on EVERY KoRn message board or EVERY KoRn site. Im sure the person who first thought of it is really proud of himself. I bet he feels like a big man.......like hes part of KoRn. If i want to meet you ill find a way i dont need some retarded get together to sleeper out some nuts to get me to see you. Its awsome you got to meet but how about the next KK be at a certain KoRn show maybe an LA KoRn show?
The things people do to feel important or feel accepted. Im not half the KoRn fan they are. Ill never be able to create something or someplace for KoRn fans to interact with eachother world wide like that. Oh well i guess ill see you all on my site KoRnSpace.com”
He's just pissed cause he couldn't make it out there lol. He's got everything wrong too...sure I wanted to meet shelly but I was looking forward to chillin with all the korn freaks and the people who just get what the hell I'm talking about when it come to korn...I met a lot of people that I didn't know before that I'm now friends with. He must think that you can't hang out with korn fans unless you're at a korn concert. I also don't think he understands that d**n near any event that happens, no matter what the hell it is, has sponsors...exspecially when it's a free event! He makes it sound like we were tackled at the door and forced to buy sh*t and then forced to listen to the bands that played. To be at a club where they played nothing but korn music all day, and then inbetween the bands all night, was awsome. To also hear a couple of the bands play cover songs was cool as hell too.
And saying that the whole thing had nothing to do with korn except for the fans, wtf?! We were in Huntington Beach! We went to Tuna Town which was covered in korn sh*t. We went to a club where the sign out front read "korn day" and they played nothing but korn on the spin. We saw and hung out with a band from Munky's label. For the first konnekt I think we did a lot of sh*t that was related to korn. And for some people it went beyond just the konnekt. I know for me, I had never been to cali, so we took a trip to bakerfield...to just be where korn emerged from was something I felt like I need to do and I'm soooo glad I went. I know the stories of others but if they feel like sharing then they will, I wont put people out there if they don't want to be.
He makes it sound like were all on some ego trip cause we went to this...I have no regrets. I had a hell of a time, and brought home a lot of memories. I still have those moments where out of nowhere I'll start laughing about sh*t that happened...it was awesome.
